Radamel Falcao is back on the scoresheet in Europe’s premier club competition.

The AS Monaco striker, whose career was debilitated by a torn cruciate ligament in 2014 – and a handful of niggling ailments after his return – fired a brace in the opening half of Wednesday’s Champions League match against CSKA Moscow, the tallies signalling the first time in almost seven years that he has found the net in the tournament.

His second goal of the evening, shown above, was easily the standout strike, as the Colombian showed a combination of strength, skill, and finesse inside the area that once made him one of the world’s most fearsome attackers.
