Gerard Deulofeu is stepping away from Barcelona once again.

On Monday, Barcelona and Watford reached an agreement on the loan of Deulofeu until June 30. The Hornets will cover the Catalan winger’s salary and a potential add-on of €1 million, and the La Masia product will continue his development at Vicarage Road until the end of the season.

Barcelona exercised its right to buy Deulofeu back in June, activating its clause for the footballer, who spent time at Everton, Sevilla, and AC Milan after exiting the Camp Nou. But he went on to make just 10 appearances in La Liga, five of which were as a substitute, and tally one goal, which came in the Blaugrana’s 2-0 victory over Malaga CF and should have been ruled out.

Deulofeu started out at La Masia in 2003, made his debut for Barca B in 2011, and was called up to Barcelona’s first team in 2011. His performances at Milan earned him a return to the Blaugrana.
