Dortmund confirmed the news on Twitter, adding that the match will take place Wednesday at 12.45 p.m. ET.
North Rhine-Westphalian police confirmed shortly after the match was postponed that the blasts occurred as the bus left the hotel. “Three explosions near the team bus as they left the hotel to go to the stadium,” police spokesman Gunnar Wortmann said.
“There was one player injured inside and damage to a window,” Wortmann added.
Dortmund later confirmed that Spanish centre-half Marc Bartra was the player injured by the explosion, and that the 26-year-old is in the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
